COVID-19 has changed a lot of things since it began. Within a year, the world has shut down, industries have been permanently transformed, and humanity is different.

This is going to be a period of upheaval and change for the filmmaking industry. No longer will multi-million-pound production teams mark the coming of a new film. Exotic locations and glamorous film shoots may not be possible anymore. There are hundreds of people who work on a single picture, providing every possible need and requirement, who may no longer have the capacity to participate. Things will change, that much is obvious.

In conclusion, this will no doubt be an exciting period for the filmmaking industry. Things will change. There is no denying it, there is no preventing it, things will change for the better. It’s going to be exciting to see all the different changes that are coming up, to start to explore new styles of filmmaking, to breathe new life into an industry that potentially was getting a little bit stale. This could well be the beginning of a whole new genre of filmmaking, the lockdown period may affectionately be known as the time when a Renaissance was entered
