the film

IT’S GONNA BE A GOOD RAMADAN

Talabat’s brief wasn’t about a house, It was about every house.

Ramadan runs on a different clock in every family, but the same rhythm across the whole region. And the idea was to capture that scale, not one family’s chaos but a chorus of them. Different doors, kitchens, generations, all needing to use Talabat for different reasons, all in the same thirty days.

So we built the film as a line of moments, not a single story. One house mid-iftar scramble, while a delivery lands exactly on time. Another house at 3am, half-asleep, ordering suhoor. A dad somewhere else entirely, asking who got a Lantern.

Comedy was present across the scenes. The sheer variety of what “ordering from Talabat” means depending on which door you’re knocking on. Food, groceries, gifts, all moving through the same platform, landing in wildly different domestic situations, every one of them a little funny, a little real.

Casting had to cover real ground, many households and generations for an enough regional flavor. It needed to feel like we’d knocked on doors across the whole country and found a story behind every one.

Editorially, pace was everything. Quick cuts between households, a rhythm that mirrored the rider’s route door to door to door, Iftar to suhoor to gifts. The scenes got stitched together to stop feeling like individual stories and started feeling like one big, busy, well-fed Ramadan.
